Where the data comes from
From the pack: the ingredient list, nutrition table, allergen lines, additives and front-of-pack claims. Numbers are shown as printed. Where we calculate, such as per 100 g from a serving, we say so. We don’t test products in a lab. Packs change, so the pack in your hand wins.
Where limits come from
Each limit names the body that set it, right where it is used: FSSAI, India’s food regulator; ICMR–NIN, Indian dietary guidelines; WHO SEARO, WHO South-East Asia. Where none of these publishes a limit for a nutrient in this kind of food, the line says PlateProbe method limit.
What you see on each product
- Why this verdict: the product’s own reasons, in order.
- What shapes the grade? Nutrition, Processing, Ingredients and Additives, each from A to F.
- Additional information: when the label was read and when each part last changed.
Prices
Prices are ones we saw on shopping sites, shown with the site and the date seen. They can change, so check the seller before you buy. If no price has been seen, none is shown. A price never changes the grade.
